David grew up in Haddonfield, N.J. surrounded by a close extended family. He played football as a running back and graduated from Nasson College in Maine. He then relocated to Addison County where he raised his family. He worked as a milk man for Monument farms and then as a carpenter and a furniture maker. David had a childlike zest for life.

Family and friends will remember the many whiffle ball games, bridge hands, rounds of Liverpool rummy and whatever new game he was excited to play. David was also an artist. He expressed his creativity in his work in the building trades and crafting fine furniture. He loved to tie flies and was passionate about fishing. He was also an avid photographer, his most favorite subjects being his family members. Family was central to David’s life and all of his interests and passions were nurtured through and shared with his family members. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in his honor to Addison County Home Health and Hospice (PO Box 754, Middlebury, VT 05753) who gave him great care at the end of his life.◊
