We knew Mary-Lou Hughes as Susan's mother and a substitute teacher for 35 years in the Haddonfield School System. She graduated from the University of Colorado with majors in Spanish and English and often ran the language lab at HMHS. She was a former member of the League of Women Voters and Ramblewood Country Club. She and her husband were avid boaters and enjoyed spending time at the Jersey Shore. She is fondly remembered for her broad smile and kindness.
